Feeding sustainable growth for all, UPL Ltd are an innovative agricultural company, with a vision to be an icon for growth, technology and innovation. Their mission? To change the game in their industry by making every single food product more sustainable. Pretty epic right?

UPL needed a new European HQ that had an impressive front of house and luxury executive offices. So, a Mayfair location was a match made in workplace heaven. Detail and high quality were at the top of the agenda. So too was a neutral colour palette, punctuated with earthy tones and depths of colour – all of which played a big part in their vision being brought to life. Space and building constraints kept the team on their toes, however, this allowed them to create two key areas for both work and play. When life gives you lemons…

Upon entering the space, you’ll find on an elegant yet contemporary space offering a luxury client experience, to the right a sizeable and fully equipped breakout space with the added perk of a terrace for views of the city and al fresco lunching. On the left, is more of a focussed workspace, complete with high-tech settings with hot offices and fixed desking for all staff. The space is all centrally connected by the impressive front of house area, complete with an incredible focal reception desk crafted from liquid metal.

With sustainability at the heart of this companies’ values, this played a big part to the brief. After many showroom visits and a 360 interactive walk through of the space, the team introduced natural materials and finishes such as timber, concrete and leathers to reflect the brands’ ethos, ensuring that many of the selections were sustainable throughout.

Being an umbrella organisation, it was essential to ensure that the other sub brands were represented within the interiors but with the perfect balance to avoid interfering with the established aesthetic of the space. This meant integrating the sub-brand logos in a minimal style onto the glazing and using elements from each brand to create framed artwork to hang within each meeting room.

The end product? A fantastic relationship formed between UPL and Thirdway, plus, a timeless, calming and neutral space with a company’s sustainable ethos at the heart of it. Not to mention the high-quality, luxury edge perfectly suited to its Mayfair location. All that’s left is for UPL’s team, and visitors alike, to enjoy the space and make use of the multi-functional areas, whether that’s for work, socialising, collaborating or even company events. This space is now ready to make amazing things happen.
