‘THEATRE DISTRICT’ TO THE T

TodayTix Group’s story of their new space starts with them seeking to elevate their workspace to new heights, and attracting talent was their key aim.

Unsurprisingly, the client fell in love with 24 West Street, a Grade II converted Methodist church – already CAT A’d – with beautiful arch windows, huge ceiling heights, exposed steel works and floods of natural light from feature sky lights.

They wanted the space to be in the heart of the theatre district (makes sense), and 24 West Street hit the spot, positioning them just one door along from The Ambassadors Theatre, and two doors along from St Martin’s Theatre – slap bang in the middle of Soho.

ECLECTIC VINTAGE FURNITURE

As you step in through the big red doors from West Street, you’re immediately greeted with a luxury members club feel. The spacious lounges, separated by a collaboration table, create a sense of sophistication and really tap into that exclusive West End vibe. Being a creative themselves, TodayTix Group’s CEO has a keen interest in vintage furniture. A few key items you see in this project are from their personal collection. They even ventured to a flea market in Paris to get some incredible feature pieces. The beautifully classic 70s designer sofa and the wooden Falcon chair are both theirs.

PARTY SPACE

The speakeasies-style breakout is split by a mezzanine area, housing a stylish kitchen which overlooks the seating below. The two skylights in the kitchen are coupled with a disco ball each, peppering light fragments across the walls at all hours of the day. The breakout is cleverly used as an events space for the neighbouring theatres. Their performance teams can come and rehearse before they go on to do their live shows. The space is also used for events, parties, launches and internal town halls. To achieve the same moodiness you get from a theatre, the ceiling is sprayed Bordeaux red with lots of warm, soft lighting to create a welcoming atmosphere.

THE HYBRID MODEL

As a US-based firm who have their team split between home and London, flexible working is at the core of TodayTix Group’s modus operandi. With a significant part of their workforce working remotely, they wanted to attract people back to the office to create an exciting place-to-be culture.

The design itself called for little desking due to WFH, with the focus around meeting spaces, private phone booths for calls to the US and lots of breakout space for functions and socials.

IT'S ALL IN THE DETAILS

Attention to detail is paramount in our design process. Every aspect, from the placement of vases to the fluffing of cushions, was meticulously considered to inject life and soul.

Office’s should be more than just four walls, a ceiling, and some desk space.
With each and every project we redefine what make’s the workplace experience.
